Getting a Library Card

A library card obtained at the Waterville Public Library may be used at any library in Oneida, Herkimer, or Madison Counties. Library cards may be applied for in person at the circulation desk of the library during regular hours.

Children are eligible for a library card when they are 5 years old. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or have a parent’s/guardian’s signature when obtaining a card.

Adults will need a valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license, in order to receive a library card and proof of Waterville Central School District residency in order to receive a library card. It will take us only a few minutes to process your new card.
