Frank V. Furner
April 12, 1943 – January 29, 2022
Frank V. Furner, 78, a life-long farmer passed away peacefully with the love and support of his beloved family by his side, on Saturday, January 29, 2022.Frank was born in a room at the family farm house, and he passed away in the same room. The family farm house was his life-long home. Frank was born on April 12, 1943, the son of the late Eugene V. and Martha O. Lambert Furner.

This year our Winter Spirit Week will run from January 31 – February 5. Waterville Senior High Student Council has decided on the following Spirit Week days which you can see in the photo below!
The Spirit Week festivities will end with the Semi-Formal dance on Saturday, February 5th from 8-11pm. The dance will be held in the cafeteria. Mr. St. Peter will be DJing! The cost of attending will be $10. This will include snacks, music, and a photo booth.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-23 School Year has begun. Children need to be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2022 to be eligible to start school in the fall. Student’s currently enrolled in UPK classes do NOT need to register, as they already have submitted the necessary paperwork. All other students eligible for kindergarten, parents/guardians will need to email Mrs. Brennan (sbrennan@watervillecsd.org). She will forward you the enrollment forms. You can then return the enrollment papers to the office with a copy of your child’s most recent immunization record, proof of residency, and a copy of your child’s birth certificate either via email (sbrennan@watervillecsd.org), fax (315) 841-3718, or mail: Sheri Brennan, Memorial Park Elementary, 145 East Bacon Street, Waterville, NY 13480 no later than February 11th.If you have any questions/concerns, please contact the MPS office at (315) 841-3782. If you have any questions regarding immunizations, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Mathias at (315) 841-3743.Kindergarten Screening will take place in May/June 2022. More details to follow. We are looking forward to having your child as a student at Memorial Park Elementary School.
With the wish for Story Hour for those not wanting to go out after nap time, but the hesitancy
for large groups of different people each week, we’re hoping that Story Hour Pods offer
a great option for time we’re in. Groups will be small, with the same kids at each gathering
(don’t worry, it’s ok to miss every now and then too).
Registration and times coming soon.
In the meantime, be thinking if you would like to help us host a pod,
weekly or on a rotating schedule! It just may help us offer them at
alternative times that work better for you!
We would like to offer a Child and Babysitting Course here at the library on
Wednesday, February 23rd from 1-5 pm.

New Year celebration!
MPS Student Council spreading the love! They passed out hearts to students to fill out 3 things they LOVE.
This week they hung the hearts in the office windows for the month of February.
“Walk it Wednesday” at MPS! February is American Heart Month. Every Wednesday we will have drop everything and WALK to get our hearts pumping!
