Edwin R. “Ike” Talbot

May 7, 1944 – January 19, 2022
Edwin R. Talbot, Oriskany Falls-Edwin R. Talbot, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was born in Leonardsville on May 7, 1944, the son of the late Floyd and Gladys Light Talbot. Ike was raised in Leonardsville and attended Mount Markum High School. George F. Nechwort

August 13, 1944 – January 18, 2022
George F. Nechwort, Jr of Waterville, NY, died suddenly of natural causes on January 18, 2022. He was born in the Panama Canal Zone August 13, 1944. After the end of World War II his parents returned to the United States. Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-23 School Year has begun. Children need to be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2022 to be eligible to start school in the fall. Student’s currently enrolled in UPK classes do NOT need to register, as they already have submitted the necessary paperwork. All other students eligible for kindergarten, parents/guardians will need to email Mrs. Brennan (sbrennan@watervillecsd.org). She will forward you the enrollment forms. You can then return the enrollment papers to the office with a copy of your child’s most recent immunization record, proof of residency, and a copy of your child’s birth certificate either via email (sbrennan@watervillecsd.org), fax (315) 841-3718, or mail: Sheri Brennan, Memorial Park Elementary, 145 East Bacon Street, Waterville, NY 13480 no later than February 11th.If you have any questions/concerns, please contact the MPS office at (315) 841-3782. If you have any questions regarding immunizations, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Mathias at (315) 841-3743.Kindergarten Screening will take place in May/June 2022. More details to follow. Connected Community Schools set up a “boutique” in the Jr./Sr. High for the students to come browse, try on and take anything they may want or need for the semi formal coming up on February 5th! The boutique will be open throughout the day until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 28.
