Please join us in welcoming Madden Barnes as WPL’s head of Youth Services!
A library patron of many years, Madden worked and volunteered for WPL during her high school career.
In the years that followed, we found ourselves writing letters of recommendation for her that highlighted
the compassion and grit with which she lives and works. One such recommendation was in confidence of
her capability to take over as the Waterville Summer Recreation Director, when we were then able to work with her collaboratively (and watch her shine). While we are sad to snatch her up from that position (as she was an asset to our community), we are excited to welcome her to consistently work with the youth and families of our community! Madden will re-join us in mid-May, and
we anticipate an absolutely wonder-filled journey ahead!
